FERMAT'S CURVE

Pierre de Fermat (1601-1655): French mathematician.

Cartesian equation:  (n integer  1) (Lamé curve)
Algebraic curve of degree n, non-rational for 3.

The Fermat-Wiles theorem consists in the strange fact that the curve avoids, when  n 3 all the points with both coordinates rational non zero, even though such points form a dense subset on the plane.
